Business Development Representative (BDR)

As the Business Development Representative (BDR) you will perform sales support duties, collecting key qualification information, setting up meetings, tracking targeted marketing campaigns as well as assist in the creation and execution of territory sales plans. This position requires an individual with passion to sell, have a Sales person mindset, familiarity with social selling, MS Excel and PowerPoint fluency, and a focus on continuous self and process improvement.

This position will be based in Toronto’s financial district, and report to BDR Manager who directly reports to head of Global Business Development 
 
Outbound Business Development
  • Social Selling via LinkedIn and other Tools
  • Webinars & key event promotion and follow-up calls
  • Direct Mail assistance
  • Cold Calling /Telemarketing
  • Field Marketing/Tradeshows attendance (as applicable)
  • Territory planning, contact database management & relationship building
  • Generation of Sales Qualified Opportunities
 Inbound Business Development
  • Publish Content via Marketing & Product Management
  • Create Brand Awareness through an Integrated Approach with Sales and Marketing
  • Develop and Manage Customer Contact Database and Version Alignment
  • Social Selling (Linked-In etc.)
 Proactive communication to educate Sales team about new leads, opportunities, contact updates and lead follow-ups.
  • The autonomy attached to this role requires an individual with initiative, the ability to think creatively and demonstrate business development & incremental revenue opportunity creation
Role and Responsibilities include
•    Managing a high volume of outbound call prospecting for new business opportunities
•    Articulating the value proposition of the solution set to prospective customers
•   Collaboration with Account Managers & New Business Sales Reps, where applicable, and assistance on assigned target marketing campaigns 
•    Working with the assigned Sales VP, Sales Associates and Marketing to increase revenue attainment within region
•    Tracking all related activities and relevant information using excel and within the CRM tool
•    Developing a sales pipeline to ensure continued meeting of team revenue targets
•    Attaining individual activity targets including outbound calls and scheduled meetings
•    Assist in the implementation of new campaigns and contribute to productivity reporting /metrics 
•    Responsible for assisting in territory development to include use of tools like Avention, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Data.com, Google Alerts, Marketo, and other associated applications
•    Assist in territory opportunity creation through use of e-mail, social selling, and telephone
•    Responsible for staying abreast of news and updates regarding Treasury, Payments, and Receivables 
•    Assist in facilitating RFP and RFI responses from Presales and Product Management, MS Dynamics CRM logging & tracking , and prospect list creation
•    Ensure marketing materials are ordered and stocked, assist in preparation for tradeshows
•    Provides regular reporting and progress on assigned tasks and BDR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
